About the Horse:

In Chinese symbolism the Horse represents freedom, vitality, determination and movement. Horses are associated with progress and travel, symbolising the drive to explore new horizons.

The Horse also carries a strong connection to personal power and perseverance. It encourages us to trust our instincts, pursue our ambitions and remain resilient through challenges.

Horse years often bring heightened activity, innovation and momentum in both personal and collective life.

The Role of Fire in the Horse Year

In 2024 we entered Period 9, which is governed by the Fire element. The Horse is naturally associated with Fire, making 2026 a powerful amplification of Fire energy. With Yang Fire governing the year, this creates a strong alignment with the energetic themes of Period 9. Fire represents visibility, recognition, passion, innovation and transformation. As Period 9 continues to unfold, Fire supports creativity, leadership, new technologies and the rise of new voices.

This combination encourages:

  • Confidence and leadership
  • Creative expression
  •  Innovation and new ideas
  • Greater visibility and influence
  • Passion and purposeful action

Balance in 2026

Horse energy invites vitality, confidence, enthusiasm and independence. As we continue moving deeper into Period 9, themes of innovation, creativity and collective awareness become more pronounced. This year encourages us to embrace new beginnings, move forward with courage and channel our passions into meaningful directions. While the Horse brings speed and momentum, balance is found by remaining grounded and intentional. It is a year of movement, opportunity and forward momentum.

Tips for the Horse Year

The Horse symbolises intelligence, instinct and strong personal drive.

This year invites you to:

  • Take bold steps toward new opportunities
  • Trust your instincts when making decisions
  • Embrace movement, travel or new experiences
  • Channel passion into creative projects
  • Stay grounded while pursuing ambitious goals

The Horse’s strong connection to Fire reminds us to honour passion, creativity and inspiration while remaining balanced and centred.

  • Lìchūn/ 'Beginning of Spring' (Changing Seasons Cycle): Feng Shui New Year: February 3rd/4th 2025.

2021: A 'five' universal year was a huge collective shift. It was the year of the new territory.

2022: A 'six' universal year was the year of the healer.

2023: A 'seven' was the next level of expansion, and consciousness is the resource of spirit, the unseen, and solitude.

2024: Another 'seven' year of transformation, alchemy, magic, empowerment and love.

2025: A 'nine' year of continued transformation, fertility, release, shedding and growth.

Overview:

The Year of the Snake teaches us profound self-improvement, encouraging growth from within and expanding our consciousness. It reminds us that becoming a better version of ourselves allows for greater flexibility, shedding rigidity, and embracing transformation. This year embodies a calm, knowing energy, showing us that change fosters growth and makes us better people.

About the Snake

The snake's ability to shed its skin and emerge renewed is a powerful metaphor for transformation. This act of renewal symbolises the shedding of old illusions and fears, allowing for rebirth and new beginnings. In many cultures, the snake is also associated with fertility,

embodying the cycles of life, death, and rebirth. The snake is the ultimate symbol of transformation, representing a time to shed skins of illusions and fears. This energy allows us to keep shedding parts of ourselves and opening up new layers of our souls. The snake’s ability to coil into spirals, and to bite its own tail, are both symbols of immortality.

Relevance of the 'Wood' in a Snake Year

In 2024, we entered Period 9, symbolised by the element of fire. As we move into another year of Wood in 2025, we must remain aware of the elemental relationships between the annual and the period elements. Wood is the mother of Fire; feeding it as it will feed your inner fire  Period 9. This is a profoundly powerful combination that welcomes grounded action, flexibility, development, and inner peace.

The Balance in 2025:

Serpent energy invites vitality, healing, wisdom, intelligence, power, and a heightened spiritual awareness gained by embracing transitions openly. 2025 will contain major spiritual growth, as we move into this Golden Age, the Age of Aquarius, we will enter a higher level of consciousness. It’s all about transcending, ascending, and merging further with the rebirth of Period 9. This year we want to dedicate time to what is most important, honouring our sense of belonging and

bringing in balance throughout all areas of our lives.

Tips for the Snake Year:

  • The serpent also represents wisdom, and intelligence and invites you to make intuition-based decisions. These decisions and changes will come from an aligned space between the mind, body, and soul.
  • The year of the Snake calls you to open up to psychic awareness, to sense the vibrations of your environment, and then use that insight to move forward on your path.
  • The Snake is intimately connected to Mother Earth, reminding you to remain grounded and centred. This will evoke a stronger connection between ourselves, others, and the land.

Wishing you a transformative Wood Snake Year! 🐍

2025: See Snake Year 2025 to learn more about what to expect.

Overview

The year 2024 is the Year of the Yang Wood Dragon, associated with joy, authority, and transformation. Dragons symbolise change, leadership, and alchemy. This year emphasises self-care, growth, and nurturing, much like a tree growing in spring. Dragon energy represents both feminine and masculine energies and encourages embracing change and speaking your truth.

About the Dragon

Spiritually, dragons symbolise nourishing the soul and are seen as protectors in various cultures. They are linked to ley lines, and Celtic druids revered them as forces of nature. Dragons have diverse symbolism, from rain deities to creators and protectors, and they embody both feminine and masculine energies. They encourage us to work towards a new Earth and represent power, transformation, and the divine feminine.

Relevance of the 'Wood' in a Dragon Year

In the realm of elemental influences, 2024 is a Wood year, akin to a sacred great oak that firmly roots itself in the ground and reaches for the sky. This grounding quality is significant because, through these practices, we can grow tall and strong spiritually, just like the essence of the tree. The Wood element introduces flexibility, development, and a sense of inner peace, tempering the fiery energies of the year.

The Balance in 2024

The Year 2024 promises to be a time of profound transformation, growth, and abundance, where we can find balance and harmony amid the winds of change.

Divine feminine in balance includes groundedness, receptivity, compassion, and intuition. Out of balance, it can manifest as over-absorption, people-pleasing, or rigidity. Divine masculine in balance includes structure, truthfulness, confidence, and emotional awareness. Out of balance can manifest as forcefulness or a lack of emotional connection.

Tips for the Dragon Year:

  • Be curious, compassionate, and trust in the unknown.
  • Give space and allow for a more aligned way of being.
  • Strive to live a more fulfilled life.
  • Allow continued time to commune with yourself and Spirit.
  • Find safety in the unknown, in the mystery.

Wishing you a wonderful Wood Dragon Year! 🐉
